P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship(s)

Graduating Seniors submit an essay articulating how P.R.I.D.E. has positively impacted or affected them over the last four years.  Essays share how the values of Personal responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Diversity and Excellence enriched their high school experience and/or prepared them for the future.

Multimedia Scholarship(s)

Graduating Seniors will submit their portfolio of digital media (photography or video) for evaluation by the Foundation.  Based on the level of competence they have shown in their discipline a scholarship(s) will be issued in the field of digital photography and video production.

Art/Ceramic Art Scholarship(s)

Graduating Seniors can submit their portfolio of work in the area of art (drawing or painting) or ceramic art (pottery) for evaluation.  The Foundation will issue at least one scholarship in the area of art and at least one in the area of ceramic art.

Houts Memorial Girls Athletic Scholarship(s)

In honor of past Gunderson graduate Laurie Houts, who excelled both as an athlete and student, we offer scholarship(s) to graduating female seniors who have been involved in sports all four years and plan to get a degree within a STEM discipline.  Candidates submit a written essay that describes how they demonstrated social inclusion within their team and/or community.

Fadness Memorial Young Engineering Scholarship

In honor of a great community leader, David Fadness, we continue to -provide an engineering scholarship that David & Aiko Fadness started prior to his death.  Unlike other scholarships, teachers provide a letter of recommendation for their top graduating student in the fields of mathematics or science.  These graduates will be continuing their education in some engineering field.

Outreach & Involvement Scholarship(s)

Graduating Seniors submit an essay that describe how community service has enriched their lives and how they gave back to their community.  In addition to their essay, they will provide a roster of organizations they have donated hours of service over the last four years.  Finally, at least one of the organizations will provide a letter of recommendation to the Foundation.

Performing Arts (Band & Theater) Scholarship(s)

Graduating Seniors submit an essay that describe how Performing Arts classes, such as band or theater, has helped them succeed in high school.  In addition to their essay, the performing arts teacher will provide a letter of recommendation to the Foundation.
